Weldyne Print & Plastic has been in existence since 1952, serving not only the Eastern Cape but also national clients. The dedicated team running Weldyne has over 50 years of experience and expertise in the manufacture of soft PVC products, screen printing and signage.
Weldyne essentially has 3 divisions which comprise the following:
- 1. Weldyne Plastic Manufacturers.
This division manufactures a great variety of PVC Products which include the following:
- For stationers and allied industry we manufacture and supply 2 ring, 3 ring & 4 ring binders and lever arch files in both A4, A5 and A6 sizes all customizable to client specification whether it be extra sleeves, screen printed or encapsulated front cover graphics and colour. Other goods manufactured are restaurant menu covers, promotional rulers (with printed logos), reusable license disc holders, clip boards, semi rigid UHI document holders, kwik klik frames and mouse pads . We are also one of the biggest manufacturers of high quality A4 & A5 Slip-on School Book and textbook covers in South Africa.
- For the motor and allied industries both within PE and nationally we supply items such as PVC Key Pouches, doc holders and sleeves, in-car wallets (essential for smooth production line operation) welding curtains, welding glove extensions, identification tags and kanban holders. Again all customizable to client specification which includes printing, adhesive, velcro and magnetic backings.
- For builders, architects, builders and electricians we supply a variety of large and small plan cover protectors, document holders and stationery metalware.
- For the Travel Industry we manufacture Travel Document wallets, Passport covers & Luggage Tags.
- 2. Weldyne Printers.
This print division is able to print both digitally and via screen on PVC, plastic, aluminium, cotton and several other surfaces. We thus can customise any of the products manufactured in our PVC division which includes binders, lever arch files, clipboards, desk pads and mouse pads with your name or logo in any colour or design. We print license disc holders for various industries, as well as stickers of any size & shape, T-shirts, caps and umbrellas, banners, pull-up banners and many other goods.
- 3. Weldyne Signage.
This division can manufacture from the smallest symbolic safety sign, to alarm company warning signs “No Parking” signs , to the largest promotional sign and light boxes. We can vinyl cut or print signs onto Chromodek or ABS and design and fit vinyl cut or full vehicle wraps onto any vehicle. We also manufacture Aluminium signage for aesthetic indoor applications on doors or boardrooms etc. A large part of our market is also with the estate agent and contractor industry where we supply Correx boards advertising “For Sale” properties and onsite signs.
Having said the above, our mission is to continue serving our clients with quality products, on time and to grow our company to a point where we are competing on a national and international level (we have just started exporting products to a client in Australia). We are also committed to innovation and the development of new products while empowering and up-skilling our team. We are also prepared to invest in more machinery and equipment with the belief that this will enable us to increase our product base and efficiency. We know that this will in turn secure the long term survival of Weldyne and continue to provide critical employment for the local community.
